• India as a country is very tough for hobbyists, and generalists, basically people who like to have a balance, want to do 5 different things, at least this is true for people with Net Liquid Worth< 1Cr, this country only rewards specialists. • Everyone has a plan, until something goes wrong. No, Not true, People are bad planners. • Weirdly, working long hours as an employee is easier—accountability combined with urgency creates anxiety, which drives actual work. When working for yourself, it's easy to avoid that accountability loop altogether. • The amount of money you can say NO to is always half of the money you can make in the next 6 months. Eg: Saying no to a 10 LPA job now can increase your chances of getting a 20 LPA job in the next 6 months by at least three times. (Obviously, you have to work hard.) • World doesn't reward geniuses, it rewards stupidity. ( Eg: Elon Musk) Stupidity with the right results is Courage. • Organizations don't owe you any explanation about layoff, and revoked PPO's etc, at least in the capitalist world. Most of the time it is not even about your performance. It is simply your bad luck. Better be prepared. (Sweat more in practice, bleed less in war.) • Happiness for a 24 year old is highly linked with money, might change after 30. • Job security is readily available in the private world but only to a limited number of people, people with really good skills. • Quality without Quantity is a myth, to be precise the way to quality goes through quantity. (Eg: Did around 2000+ mails and linkedin messages during job search.) • 99% percent people won't be able to repeat themselves, specifically the positive results. Shows you either they dont trust themselves enough or just got lucky. • In the long run, people do get what they deserve. • Anything materialistic that you have can be taken in a minute, what cannot be taken is your ability to navigate, build and learn from scratch. • Friends make hard times easier, good times better. (Eg: Only able to pull it off because of people around me.) • Truth is a lie with conviction.
